Forerunner Camp

going into : 11TH - 12TH Grade

This camp is a continuation of SFR's mission to 'train up a child' (Proverbs 22:6). It's exclusively for 11th - 12th graders and is designed for those who desire to transition into a leader. Ideally, this preparation time of transitioning campers into staff member lasts 2 summers. Campers will find themselves among a group of strong, like-minded believers, all ready for the greatest summer of their lives.

-New, improved lessons focused on Scripture Based leadership qualities
-Differentiated curriculum for first and second year Forerunners
-More opportunities to create games and programs for camp, design their own service project for SFR
-Guest experts to help our Forerunners build and practice important 21st century skills to help them prepare for college and future employment

Adventure Tracks


Part of learning in nature requires some basic outdoor knowledge. Through this Adventure Track you will learn knot tying, outdoor building techniques, and then put that to the test with constructing things like shelters, handmade fishing rods or maybe even, building a Tom Sawyer raft.


The age-old art of target sports has always included the ever powerful bow and arrow! Learn how to become a pro with a bow.


Learn basic survival skills as taught by the U.S. Army Green Berets. These skills will always come in handy.


Learn and practice with a modern development of the ancient sling in our brand new Sling Shot Shooting Gallery.


Learn the basic techniques of ballet and discover how to incorporate dance in the art of worship (directing others to God through dance).


Have you ever wanted to learn how to make chalk? Churn your own butter? Or design your own paracord bracelets? This Adventure Track will teach you a variety of ‘Do It Yourself’ activities.


· Learn the art of fly fishing, primitive creek fishing and other skills to fish on the frontier!


This class is for those who play instruments or have a heart for worship. It teaches the basic SFR worship models and what it looks like to lead worship in a corporate setting. Past guest worship artists include leaders from Bethel Music and IHOP worship
