Worship Music at Camp
The Fall Retreat is this weekend (November 8-10, 2013). Here at Shepherd’s Fold, camp has been being done for over forty years. In that time, things have changed and grown. The schedule has developed into a six day, as many hours as we can pack in, super fun piece of paper that comes to life. The food has gone from a small family cooked meal to a caterer who cooks family home-cooked meals. The music has progressed from hymns to modern-day contemporary songs.
This weekend, we are changing things up a bit. Friday night’s worship session will take us back to the sweet hymns of old (or at least that’s what the campers say!). We will gather in front of the Ranch Camp cabins and hike up to the Catacombs where we will sit around a fire and sing hymns from a song sheet. Here’s the lineup for Friday night: Amazing Grace, Come, Thou Fount, Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee, and Holy, Holy, Holy.
Saturday evening Simon Hajar will be joining the group and leading worship. Get ready for a little bit of everything. Simon writes his own music. It’s beautiful.
