Building a Foundation That Lasts

Every journey of faith begins somewhere.

For many children, the elementary years are when they first begin to understand who God is and how much He loves them. At Shepherd’s Fold Ranch, Treehouse Village was created to help young campers build that foundation in a way that is engaging, memorable, and rooted in Scripture.

Rather than overwhelming children with complex theology, Treehouse Village focuses on the truths that matter most during these formative years. Campers discover that God knows them, loves them, and created them with purpose. They begin learning that their identity is not defined by what they do, but by who they are in Christ.

These foundational truths provide a framework that campers can continue building upon as they grow.

Learning Through Adventure and Discovery

Children learn best when they are actively engaged. That is why Treehouse Village combines biblical teaching with outdoor adventure, creative object lessons, worship, and hands-on experiences.

Throughout the week, campers participate in activities that encourage curiosity, teamwork, and joyful exploration while reinforcing biblical principles in age-appropriate ways.

Teaching is centered around two foundational ideas:

  1. God loves you completely.
  2. Jesus invites you into a relationship with Him.

As campers experience these truths through stories, games, worship, and conversations with counselors, they begin to understand that following Jesus is not simply about knowing Bible facts. It is about knowing the God who loves them.

The goal is to create an environment where children enjoy learning about their faith while building friendships and making memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Preparing Children for the Next Step

Treehouse Village is the beginning of Shepherd’s Fold Ranch’s discipleship pathway.

As campers grow, the lessons they learn here prepare them for the next stages of spiritual development. They leave with a stronger understanding of God’s character, a growing confidence in His love, and excitement about continuing their journey of faith.

Many campers return year after year, moving from Treehouse Village into Ranch Camp and beyond. Each stage builds on the last, helping young people grow in wisdom, character, and their relationship with Jesus.

Our hope is that every child leaves Treehouse Village knowing one simple but life-changing truth: God loves them deeply, and He desires a relationship with them.
